After having her Glenview Golf three-bedroom, 3.5-bath townhome on the market for a little over three months, homeowner Melanie Gravdal tacked on a creative incentive to sweeten the deal, according to The Chicago Sun-Times.

Gravdal is offering a $1,000 credit for food and drink at Grandpa’s Place, a restaurant and bar across the street from her home at 1877 Prairie St. (map). Grandpa’s Place is helping Gravdal in her efforts by posting fliers on its walls advertising the $450,000 listing.

From the Sun-Times:

Gravdal’s Realtor, Missy Jerfita reportedly said that since the offer to give the buyer $1,000 in beer was put on the table, there has been a 300 percent increase in showings, but Jerfita notes there were two to three showings in June, and nine since the beer bonus was announced. Jerfita acknowledges that they do not know if the increase in interest is related to the creative offer or not.
